Abstract

Learning that focuses on social and emotional development (also known as SEL) has been receiving more and more attention in recent years as an essential component of a comprehensive education. It comprises the processes by which individuals acquire and apply knowledge, attitudes, and abilities in order to comprehend and control their feelings, establish and accomplish positive goals, feel and demonstrate empathy for other people, build and sustain meaningful relationships, and make responsible decisions. It is the purpose of this article to investigate the significance of social and emotional learning (SEL) in education, its influence on the growth of students, and effective implementation tactics in schools. By incorporating social and emotional learning (SEL) into educational curricula, we may create a learning environment that is more encouraging and welcoming to all students, which in turn enhances both academic achievement and personal well-being.
