Ushbu tezis tilni o’rganishning nazariy asoslarini va til o'rganishda autentik materiallarning ahamiyatini o'rganadi. Bixeviorizm, nativizm, interaktivizm, sotsial-madaniy nazariya va kognitiv nazariyalar kabi turli nazariy asoslardan kelib chiqqan holda, ushbu tadqiqot tilni o'zlashtirishni osonlashtirishda autentik materiallarning rolini ham o'rganadi. Tadqiqot autentik materiallarning nazariy nuqtai nazarga qanchalik mos kelishi va o'quvchilarda til ko'nikmalari, madaniy kompetentsiya va kommunikativ qobiliyatlarni rivojlantirishga hissa qo'shishini o'rganadi. Nazariy asoslar va amaliy natijalarni chuqur tahlil qilish orqali ushbu tezis asl materiallarni til o‘zlashtirish dasturlariga produktiv integratsiyalashuvi haqida tushuncha berishga qaratilgan.
