Key principles include audience awareness, familiar wording, active constructions, clear expression of rights and duties, concise sentences, informative headings, and logical organization. Their application is considered in legislation, contracts, administrative notices, digital public services, and multilingual communication. The article emphasizes that simplification must not compromise legal precision and offers practical recommendations for legal writers and translators. Clear legal writing can reduce misunderstanding, improve transparency, support informed decisions, and facilitate access to rights and obligations.
