Abstract

In an era of globalization, English has solidified its role as the dominant language of communication in various professional fields, particularly medicine. The necessity of a shared language in healthcare is underscored by the increasingly global nature of medical education, research, and practice. English serves as the lingua franca, connecting healthcare professionals across linguistic and cultural boundaries. Its significance extends to facilitating international collaborations, accessing cutting-edge research, and ensuring standardized communication in emergencies like pandemics. The need for proficiency in English among medical professionals and students is more relevant than ever, influencing career development and the quality of patient care globally.
