FOCUS AND SCOPE

The "Journal of Language Pedagogy and Innovative Applied Linguistics (JLPIAL)" is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on language pedagogy, innovative approaches in applied linguistics, and related topics. PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The "Journal of Language Pedagogy and Innovative Applied Linguistics (JLPIAL)" follows a double-blind peer review process for all accepted submissions. We recognize and appreciate the valuable service provided by reviewers in the academic community, as their contributions play a crucial role in maintaining the high quality of published content within a timely manner.

Both Research Articles and Review Articles undergo a rigorous peer review. Initially, manuscripts are assessed by the editors to ensure compliance and suitability. If a manuscript meets the criteria for peer review, potential reviewers are invited by the Editor or Associate Editor. Reviewers are sent an invitation containing the manuscript's abstract and the Guidelines to Reviewers. Once an invitation to review is accepted, the reviewer is provided access to the full manuscript via a link in the confirmation email.

Reviewers are expected to approach their reviews in a collegial manner, focusing their comments on the content of the manuscript rather than the authors themselves, regardless of whether the comments are positive or negative in nature.

Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the topic addressed in the manuscript. They are requested to provide the Editors with an expert opinion on the quality and suitability of the manuscript. Additionally, reviewers are encouraged to provide feedback to the authors that will help improve the work, as the ultimate goal of the peer-review process is to enhance the manuscript.

While reviewers should not shy away from identifying weaknesses, it is important to maintain a constructive approach. Criticism should be provided with the intention of improving the manuscript for publication. Reviewers are also encouraged to highlight the strong and positive aspects of the manuscript alongside any areas that may require improvement.

By adhering to a robust peer review process, the "Journal of Language Pedagogy and Innovative Applied Linguistics (JLPIAL)" ensures the quality and integrity of the published articles, while also providing valuable feedback to authors for their academic growth and enhancement of their work.
