Abstract

Proficiency in a second language significantly broadens one's worldview. It connects individuals from various continents, providing them with unprecedented access to a wealth of cultures and ideas. When students engage with literature, media, and cross-cultural exchanges in their second language, they develop a deeper empathy and understanding of different lifestyles. This exposure helps them appreciate the diversity of human experiences and fosters a more inclusive and open-minded outlook on life. By mastering a second language, people can bridge cultural gaps, facilitating more meaningful interactions and collaborations on a global scale.
