Abstract

В данной статье обсуждается о важности роли языка в культуре. Язык часто рассматривается как простое средство общения. Однако он играет центральную роль в обнаружении, идентификации и хранении новых знаний. Язык позволяет знаниям передаваться с течением времени и становиться предметом дискуссий и дебатов, что является основой обеспечения их достоверности. Язык позволяет распространять знания в рамках формального образования, а также за пределами учебных заведений в популярных формах. Язык важен, даже если он не является основным средством выражения. Иногда язык выполняет репрезентативную функцию: например, эксперимент или отчет об исследовании переносят на соответствующий язык данные или результаты независимо от выражения и фиксации текста. Но следует помнить, что во многих случаях язык используется не только как средство выражения устоявшихся знаний, но и вне текстов, их учитывающих: зачастую он является пространством, в котором знания развиваются.
